Where Pride Began - STONEWALL

Where Pride Began - STONEWALL

Friday 15 March 2019, 6:00pm—9:00pm

To celebrate 50 years since the Stonewall Riots we are bringing to you a special screening of the fictional Hollywood movie released in 2015. Although, at the time, the movie caused some controversy (for using 'poetic licence) it claims to evoke the wildness and dread that permeated Greenwich Village in 1969. It follows the story in the weeks and days leading up the New York riots, and focusses on a young man as he comes to grips with political activism and his own identity.
