Rock & Roll Lives

Rock & Roll Lives

Saturday 30 August 2014, 9:30am—10:30am

Kristin Hersh was just 17 and playing in art-punk band, Throwing Muses, when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and fell pregnant. Her beautifully written memoir of that year, 'Paradoxical Undressing' (AKA Rat Girl), reads like a novel. She is joined by Dave Graney, whose memoir '1001 Australian Nights' takes an unorthodox look at his musical career, which began with The Moodists in the 1980s.

Nick Cave called it 'Funny, wise, narcissistic, deluded and anarchic. Pure genius.'
