DEAN SUTHERLAND – All right?
First and foremost, Dean has over 20 years of experience as a parent of 3 children. He is also a Speech-language therapist and a senior lecturer at the University of Canterbury. He is passionate about helping children and adults understand and develop the art of communication. In these workshops Dean will share his top tips for communicating and connecting with your children and teenagers – to help get through difficult times.
Dean co-directs Real Parents Ltd with Anna Mowat, South Island providers of the Incredible Years Parenting programmes for the Ministry of Education.

ANNA MOWAT – All right?
Anna works as part of the team behind the All Right? Campaign, actively supporting wellbeing at a community level in fun, light and innovative ways. Her predominant work with All Right? is as the advisor, content writer for All Right? Parenting and Sparklers. Anna is also working as part of the Canterbury District Health Board and Auckland University collaboration co-designing an app developed to help Canterbury parents support their children with emotional regulation. She is an imperfect Mum to three girls on a personal mission to ensure no parent ever feels ‘alone’.
