Remembering ANZAC

Remembering ANZAC

Sunday 31 August 2014, 2:30pm—3:30pm

Almost every town in Australasia has a memorial to those who died in the First World War, and these monuments are such a familiar part of our landscape that we sometimes fail to see them. But acclaimed photographer Laurence Aberhart has looked at them closely and the result is 'ANZAC', a collection of 70 magnificent photographs, with an introduction by well-known historian, Jock Phillips.

See the photographs and hear both men discuss the stories behind the memorials with Christchurch Art Gallery director Jenny Harper.
