BEN MERITO
We can't express how happy we are to be bringing Ben back to Cambridge! Cambridge local Ben Merito comes from a family of performers and is the youngest son of Gerry Merito, an icon in the New Zealand music industry. Now living in Western Australia, Ben Merito has distinguished himself as one of the ‘top drawer' acoustic musicians in the Perth City music scene today. Since moving to Perth, Ben Merito has achieved a succession of steps in his career.
The continuing rise and development of Ben in 2011 lead to his second album ‘Soulful Reason'. ‘Freedom to Dance' is the first released single from this album and the open, fun loving vibe of this song shines through in his music video clip. Ben was invited to perform with music icons, Neil Finn and Paul Kelly on ANZAC day to a sold out audience at Redhill Auditorium in the Perth Hills.

JENNY MITCHELL
Southern songwriter Jenny Mitchell is one of New Zealand's brightest musical talents. Hailing from Gore, she is a songwriter that blends country, folk, and Americana into her own captivating style.

Her earliest musical influences were Johnny Cash, The Dixie Chicks, Hank Williams - & a few of her Dad's other favourites.
Jenny is the 2017 NZ Gold Guitar Overall Winner, 2017 Southland Entertainer of the Year and in 2016 she was the winner of the MLT Songwriting Awards. These are goals she has been working towards for a long time, but years before this (when she was only 14) she was placed 3rd on New Zealand's Got Talent. After her success on the show she went on to release her debut album, 'The Old Oak', that debuted at number 1 on the NZ Country iTunes Charts and number 3 on the Official NZ Music Charts.
