UCSA Dental aims to offer affordable basic dental care to all University of Canterbury Students. This includes
Exams are $35 and treatment ranges from $50 - $75 per tooth. You must book a check-up first
Treatment appointments are booked after your check-up and a purchase code is given to you. If you have not been given a purchase code, do not try and purchase those tickets.

Conditions: You are allowed 1 check-up and 2 hours of dental treatment per academic year.
The Burnside Community Dental Centre is located at 96A Memorial Ave, Ilam.
To Access UCSA Dental:
1. You must be a current, fully enrolled University of Canterbury Student. You must present your Canterbury Card at your appointment. Part-time students, full-time students, domestic students, and international students are all eligible.
2. You must purchase a ticket from your own Dash Tickets account. If you do not have one, create one. It is free to create, and is necessary to ensure we are able to enter your appointment into the booking system.
3. You must enter your NHI number before the sale can be completed. So what is your NHI number?
Please attempt to locate your NHI number from your baby book, prescriptions, or family doctor before calling the UC Health Centre.
The cost of dental care at UCSA Dental is the same for domestic and international students. International students may not have an NHI number. Please visit the UC Health Centre with your passport to have an NHI Number created for you.
Limitations to UCSA Dental:
We are not able to provide root canals, surgical extractions, sedation, orthodontic work, crowns or bridges.
