Host: Deloitte
Speaker: Linda Guirey
Topic: 'Stand up and take it like wo-man! Learn how to handle conflict, work through awkward situations and become more professionally assertive'
Linda Guirey is a Professional Speaker and trainer. She has been a Manager for more than 16 years and throughout her working life, Linda has seen and experienced influential leadership and great management, as well as poor 'inherited' management and workplace bullying.
“I take a very humorous look at how people are different and compare people to marbles – we need to value each one and get them working together. We need to stop losing our marbles!â€
Linda is passionate about valuing staff, understanding the people who work for you and then working out what makes them tick and what makes them get up in the morning to come and work for you. Linda helps people understand their communication style (what colour marble they are) and how we can communicate better, which in turn creates better teams and reduces conflict. Linda also delivers workshops on defining, recognising and addressing workplace bullying.
Come find out what colour marble you are and how this can transform a workplace. Linda will also talk about the cost and effects of workplace bullying in NZ and what we can do about it.
“As a speaker Linda Guirey is funny, fascinating and makes you think. I enjoyed one of her presentations recently - she was just delightful!â€
"Linda is brilliant and funny while giving us something important to think about. I highly recommend Linda to help improve relationships, especially in the workplace.â€
