If camping's not for you then why not catch a Summerlands bus for $15 return trip (from the Wanaka skatepark).
We have tried to make booking your bus as easy as possible, simply choose the bus time you want to leave Wanaka, purchase the ticket from either the Dash Tickets website or the Summerlands Facebook page. Then just turn up on time. Easy as!
Each Bus traveling to Summerlands will have an allocated amount of seats available until the bus is sold out. Your bus ticket is only valid for time stated on your ticket. There are a lot of people to move to Hawea so we will need to be strict on the allocated seats. Moral of the story is choose your bus time wisely and make sure you get on it!
All buses returning to Wanaka from Summerlands will operate on a first-on-first-served basis. The wristband you will receive upon your bus trip out to Summerlands will be your return ticket on the buses home to Wanaka, so treat them like the golden ticket!
Buses will start departing from Wanaka Skatepark at 2:30pm, leaving every 15 mins, and will travel directly to the Summerlands site (Lake Hawea Hotel) with no stops inbetween. The return bus services will start departing Summerlands from 11:00pm and will continue to run until everyone is home safely.
Buses will be run by Yellow Bus Service and are bright yellow - you can't miss them!
There will be 2 points of pick up. First pick up at 2.30pm from Robins Road (Opposite Wakatipu High School) followed by 2.45pm from Frankton Bus Stop (The big one opposite the golf course). We ask that you are there on time as it will take a few minutes to process all of your names. If you are late the bus WILL NOT wait for you. It will stop off for a short break at the Cromwell Pub and will give you the option of also stopping at the Luggate Pub. Summerlands will conclude at 12.00am and we ask that you start making your way to the bus at this time, at around 12.30 the bus will depart back to Queenstown with no pub stops for return and will drop off at same stops as pick ups.
NOTE: Please enter your name and number when purchasing ticket as we will have check list at pick up. If you purchase more than one bus pass, there will be your name with a plus number of how many extras (i.e John Smith +3).
