event information

After a fantastic year performing at concerts in Canterbury including at the Lions Crusaders match at AMI Stadium, the Christchurch Boys' Choir welcomes you to attend their end of year concert 'Airs and Graces' at The Piano.

The boys will present a tour of the world in folk tunes, performing a selection of traditional melodies from across Europe, America, New Zealand and more. The concert will feature solo voices in addition to the full choir, acknowledging the intimate nature of folk songs and their function as a means of telling a story. The subjects of the songs range from love to death and the variety of the music reflects this.

If you haven't been, The Piano Music Centre for Music and the Arts' on Armagh Street, is an incredible venue for the whole family. This is a great opportunity to listen to Christchurch's best treble voices in their full depth and colour.

Wine is able to be purchased from The Piano before the concert starts.
